Helicopter Spirals Wildly into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Beach
An aircraft flying near a popular coastal coastline suddenly began spiraling out of control, eventually dropping height and plunging into a row of palm groves as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings shared on social media depict the aircraft beginning to twirl near Huntington Beach then plunging towards the edge of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palm trees and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were rushed to the hospital comprising two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the incident on that day.
Three people on the road were injured. Details on their wounds were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
Planned Function
Authorities indicated the aircraft was linked to an annual “Cars with Copters” charity gathering planned for Sunday.
